How often do I need to change the filters?
Depending on usage, filters last between 6 and 12 months. The subscription plan makes it easy — fresh cartridges arrive right on time.
What does the 3-stage filtration actually remove?
Stage 1 (Micro-Sediment) captures dirt, sand, rust and visible particles. Stage 2 (Activated Carbon) reduces chlorine, taste and odor. Stage 3 (Ultra-Filtration, 0.01–0.1 µm) removes bacteria and impurities for cleaner, fresher water.
Is the water safe for babies and cooking?
Yes. Our filtration is designed for everyday drinking, baby formula, cooking and beverages. It removes contaminants while keeping beneficial minerals intact.
Installation
Do I need a plumber to install it?
No. fltrd WATER is designed for DIY installation in under 15 minutes using the included renter-friendly mounting kit. No drilling or special tools required.
Does it work in apartments and rentals?
Absolutely. The system is wall-mounted with non-permanent hardware and connects directly to your existing tap line — perfect for apartments, condos and short-term rentals.
Do I need electricity or Wi-Fi?
No electricity, no Wi-Fi, no app. The system works fully mechanically — turn on the tap and enjoy clean water.
What if my faucet has an unusual shape?
Our kit includes adapters for all standard kitchen faucets. If you have a specialty tap, contact us before ordering and we’ll confirm compatibility.
Subscription
How does the filter subscription work?
Choose a delivery cadence (every 3, 6 or 12 months). We ship fresh cartridges automatically — no reminders to set, no last-minute orders.
Can I pause, skip or cancel anytime?
Yes. You’re in full control. Pause, skip a delivery or cancel from your account dashboard with no fees or commitments.
Will I get a reminder before each shipment?
Yes — you’ll receive an email a few days before each cartridge ships, so there are never any surprises.
Shipping & Returns
Where do you ship?
We currently ship across Canada. Standard delivery takes 3–7 business days depending on your region.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is free on the starter system and on all subscription cartridge deliveries.
What's your return policy?
If you’re not satisfied, return your unused system within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. Used systems can be returned within 14 days, minus a small restocking fee.
What if my filter arrives damaged?
Contact our support team within 7 days of delivery with a photo and we’ll send a replacement at no cost.
Sustainability
Is fltrd WATER better than bottled water?
Yes — environmentally and economically. A single fltrd system replaces thousands of single-use plastic bottles over its lifetime, and costs a fraction of the price per liter.
Are the cartridges recyclable?
Yes. We offer a free mail-back program for used cartridges so the housings and media can be properly recycled.
